FAQ

The structure of the MAS is 2 years organised as part time. The first year is the same for all students. The second year depends on which main courses have been chosen by the student.

During the two semesters there will be courses held in Zurich, usually on one day per week (Tuesdays). Between the semesters there are block courses. The first lasts one week (full time) in Lausanne the second one takes 2 weeks (full time) in Zurich. Thus, in between the semesters there are weeks, which will be full time and others without MAS leading to an average of roughly one day per week.

During the two semesters there will be courses held in Zurich. Usually they will be on Thursday (plus a clinical lecture of your choice). Between the autumn and spring term there will be 2 block courses, 2 weeks (full time) each, one in Bern and another at the PSI. Finally, students will write a master thesis.

All courses in the first year are held in English. In general, also the courses in the second year are held in English, however, some parts in dedicated courses are still in German.

The MAS starts every 2 years (in even years: 2018, 2020,…) in the autumn semester.

Generally, it is not foreseen to enter an already started MAS course. The MAS is structured sequentially, i.e. the order of the courses is relevant and should be completed as intended.
